Crim Primary School’s version of the Seattle Seahawks, Team Black, was crowned the 2026 Souper Bowl champion.
Crim Primary School kicked off Super Bowl weekend with its results from its annual Souper Bowl Food Drive for Hunger Game.
For the past two weeks leading up to the big game, the Crim Primary School community has donated canned and boxed food items that will be presented to the Somerset Food Bank.
The food is placed in two “team” bins in the school’s main lobby. Scoring in the Souper Bowl is done by the number of items dropped into each bin.
One bin was called “Team Red,” and the other bin was labeled “Team Black.”
The winning Souper Bowl team that collected the most items was “Team Black,” which amassed 451. “Team Red” scored 328.
Gretchen English, the Crim School Nurse who has served as the devoted Commissioner of the Souper Bowl for nine years, shared her gratitude to the kind Crim families who contributed to this drive.
" I would like toThank everyone for their donations this year! The Crim community is always so generous and shows up for others,” Ms. English said. “These donations will help so many families with food insecurities through the Somerset County Food Bank!"
