crim heroes

The staff and students at the Crim Primary School proudly salute law enforcement heroes.

Since January 9 is recognized as National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Crim held its annual tribute on that Friday, January 9.

Kelliann TenKate, Crim’s patriotic Principal, explained this special day.

“Our National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is a way to show law enforcement officers that the difficult career path they have chosen is recognized by the people who they protect and uphold the law for,” Principal TenKate said.“

She continued.

“To show law enforcement officers how much we value them, the Crim Primary School community invited parents/guardians/family members of students and/or staff at Crim to visit a classroom to talk about the difficult work, role in safety, and sacrifice of law enforcers.”

Principal TenKate further discussed the roles of the honored guests.

“We had 12 of these heroes (13 if you count the police therapy dog) visit Crim School throughout the day to meet with our students to: read a book about law enforcement, explain the components and purpose of police uniforms, answer questions from students, and/or share a law enforcement officer's path (schooling, academy, etc.) to this essential role in society”
