Crim Autism breakfast

Since they work together, they should share a breakfast together.

The Primary Autism Teachers and the staff at the Crim Primary School put out a festive and delicious meal when their third annual Crim Autism Program Holiday Breakfast was served on Thursday morning, December 12.

The breakfast brought together the students and their families and the staff, who all celebrated —and ate—together in Crim’s All-Purpose Room.

Crim’s Autism Teachers—Maryellen Hardy, Melissa Ilich, and Kelly Kliemisch–were the hosts along with Crim Principal Kelliann TenKate. Staff members also joined the team in cooking and serving.

That was a purpose to the breakfast, so claimed Ms. Hardy.

“This is so great to have our students and parents come together with the staff to celebrate all of our accomplishments," she said. “This is about us all working together.”

The tasty breakfast attracted a satisfied customer in Dr. Dan Fonder, the school district’s Assistant Superintendent for Personnel.

Principal TenKate shared her feelings on this holiday event.

“This is our tradition here. We honor our families and allow them to spend time with their students and staff,” Principal TenKate said.
