Music & Art

The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District offers a comprehensive music program that is aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for the Visual and Performing Arts. Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight receive general music instruction, through which students create, perform, respond, and connect. All fourth grade students participate in an ensemble experience through fourth grade chorus, and chorus continues as an elective opportunity at the intermediate, middle, and high school levels. Beginning in fifth grade, students can choose to participate in the instrumental music program by participating in band or orchestra.

The Music Program affords students the opportunity to develop their skills, literacy, and knowledge of music in its many forms, while fostering the learning and growth of all students through the process of creating, exploring, and engaging with music.
