Dear all parents/guardians of students in grades five through seven:
On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, the Office of Special Programs will hold the annual Parent Information Night regarding the Enrichment “E” Program classes for the parents/guardians of students who will be in grades 6-8 for the 2021-2022 school year. The meeting will be held from 7:00-8:00PM via Google Meet using your child’s log in.

Enrichment “E” Program classes are offered in grades six through eight for students with specific advanced ability in mathematics, English language arts, science, and/or social studies. The E classes provide content-specific instruction for gifted and talented students who are capable of high academic performance within an accelerated and enriched curriculum. Since students have different teachers for each subject at these grade levels, the students in E classes are homogenously grouped for each of the E subjects for which they are eligible.
The Parent Information Night meeting is intended to provide an overview of the 6-8 Enrichment “E” Program, and to review the process and criteria for program admission. Online registration for E Program placement consideration will be available beginning Tuesday, January 5, 2021 and will close Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Students who are not registered during this window will not be considered for program placement. Links for online registration will appear on the BRRSD website, the Special Programs page, and the homepages of each of the district’s intermediate schools and the middle school.
This notification has been sent to all parents/guardians of students in grades five through seven. This notification has not been initiated by any preliminary screening of data or teacher input. Students currently enrolled in E Program classes who are in good standing will automatically be eligible to continue in the program for the next school year without additional registration/consideration.
