A taste of France was absorbed by the students of the Crim Primary School on Thursday,March 9.
It was this morning when members of the French Club from Bridgewater-Raritan High School paid a visit to Crim.
Crim Principal Kelliann TenKate explained how this arrangement was made.
“Jenn Haff, a French teacher at the high school and adviser to the French Club, reached out with an idea.,” Principal TenKate said. “The high school French Club was looking for an elementary school to visit for Mardi Gras. The French Club did a similar trip to Van Holten around the winter holidays.”
Principal TenKate accepted the offer for her Grade 4 students to receive an education from the French Club students..
During the hour-long visit in each Grade 4 classroom, French Club members presented a lesson on Mardi Gras, made masks with the students, and played games in French.
