Famed author shared reading with Crim students

The award-winning author Tara Lazar spent the entire day speaking, signing books, and even eating lunch with the students at the Crim Primary School on Friday, April 26.

Ms. Lazar, famed for her publication of humorous children’s picture books, paid a visit—and stayed most of the school day.

She opened her author’s visit by addressing an assembly with students from Kindergarten to 2nd Grade. Her theme to these youngsters was A Day in the Life. The student in Grades 304 assembled when her presentation was titled Language Lollapalooza.
Below are summaries from her website on both presentations:

♦ Day in the Life
A humorous look at this pajama-wearing author’s daily kidlit escapades. I suggest a PJ Day for the school, and I will visit mine!

♦ Language Lollapalooza
Explore uncommon, tongue-twisting words (like those from my popular list of 500+ fun, relaxed & interesting words) and expand vocabulary through word games like “Crashwords!” I will present from my award-winning book ABSURD WORDS!

She then signed books in the library, spent lunchtime with the students, and delivered her Day in the Life presentation to the PM Kindergarten students. The day was capped when students were called in to receive the signed books.
