Dear Crim School Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
I would like to invite you to Crim School's first Virtual Back-to-School Nights. You will be able to meet your child's teacher from the comfort of your own home. The night will begin with an email from the school around 4:00pm on the night of the event. The email will contain a whole-school presentation from the Principal, School Counselor, Elementary Teaching Specialist, School Nurse, and PTO.
The building schedule will include a session for classroom teacher presentations as well as a session for related arts teachers, service providers, support staff, and special education staff. Classroom teachers will be available through a Google Meet starting at 6:30pm on the night of the event. Your child's teacher will share the Google Meet code/link prior to the event. Parents can also find all Meet codes/links within the whole-school presentation that will be shared by Mrs. TenKate at 4:00pm on the day of your live event.
- Virtual Back-to-School Night for Grades 3-4 Parents on Tuesday, September 22nd
- Virtual Back-to-School Night for Grades K-2 Parents on Thursday, September 24th
IMPORTANT: To join the Meet, parents MUST sign in using their child's BRRSD account (email and password) - please use this link to access directions that can assist you.
Back-to-School Night is an opportunity for the teachers and staff to speak to parents/guardians directly. During Back-to-School Night presentations, teachers do not discuss the progress of individual students. If you have a question specific to your child, please contact the teacher before or after Back-to-School Night. Later in the first marking period, there is an opportunity for the teacher to meet with each student's parent(s)/guardian(s) during November Parent-Teacher Conferences. Specific to this year, teachers will not be presenting any information about the upcoming transition to hybrid learning - rather, teachers will present general information about the grade-level curriculum and class, with a focus on all virtual learning. Information about instruction, procedures and expectations during hybrid learning will be communicated by the district and school main office.
Teachers will be making a recording available for any parent(s)/guardian(s) who are unable to attend the live Back-to-School Night event.
Respectfully Yours,
Kelliann TenKate, Principal
