Back to School promotions have started—-and it is still in the dead of winter.
The Back to School program at the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District is launched when the calendar has just turned to 2023.
That is because the school district is excited to announce the opening of registration for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students for the 2023-2024 school year.
“We look forward to welcoming our new families and students to the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District,” said Walter Kalicki, the school district’s Registrar Attendance Officer.
Students new to the school district will be educated in a fun and passionate environment that is on the school schedule at each of the seven primary schools that are spread throughout the communities of Bridgewater Township and the Borough of Raritan.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade children will be entrenched in a wonderful learning atmosphere once the doors open in September for classes at the Crim Primary School.
Kelliann Ten Kate, the Principal of Crim, not only encourages educating her students to the highest quality but she and her staff deliver an enjoyable atmosphere, too.
According to Principal Ten Kate, Crim Primary School currently houses a total of 389 students and includes 2 Kindergarten sections, 4 Grade 1 sections, 5 Grade 2 sections, 4 Grade 3 sections, 4 Grade 4 sections, and 3 Primary AUT classrooms.
“At Crim, our main goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education possible in a safe, supportive, respectful and nurturing learning environment,” Principal Ten Kate explained. “Working together as a team, we are committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Our motto is “Work Hard, Be Kind.”
A positive attitude is enforced at Crim.
“At Crim, kindness permeates our hallways. We promote respect, responsibility, and reflection at Crim. Students are encouraged to become responsible citizens in their behavior, work, and attitude. Students are recognized and recognize others for displaying admirable character traits,” Principal Ten Kate said. “We strive each and every day to appreciate others and value the differences we bring to our school. We are fortunate to have a wonderful Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) who provides many opportunities that enrich our students and strengthen our school community. The more our school and families are joined as partners in education, the greater our chance for success.
She concluded:
“We truly have so much to be proud of at Crim Primary School!”
Students headed to Crim are counting the days to when school begins.
But before those school doors fly open in September, Mr. Kalicki urges families to follow these suggestions and regulations.

Please submit and complete the registration process as early as possible. Registered families are assigned to their home school and will eventually begin to receive communications regarding upcoming events such as Kindergarten orientation.
No in-person appointments will be necessary. Parents can complete the process remotely and upload all required documents to the online application. Central Registration is here to answer your questions and assist you with completing the process.
